The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) Program has created a national day (#HBCUOutLoudDay) to raise awareness of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer HBCU community. The day allows HBCUs the opportunity to host pride events, strengthen diversity milestones and initiate LGBTQ+ equity and inclusion work on campus.
