For items that are not available at the VSU Library you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request through the electronic system, ILLiad. This system enables VSU students, faculty, and staff to submit requests, check the status of their requests, renew materials and communicate with the Interlibrary Loan Office all through the Internet. Automatic e-mail notification to VSU faculty, students, and staff occurs at the moment a borrowed book or photocopy is received in the system. First-time users of the Interlibrary Loan System will need to create an account.
The Library participates in the Richmond Area Library Consortium (RALC) which enables faculty and students to borrow books from other libraries in the consortium. Members of RALC include: J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Brightpoint Community College, Library of Virginia, Randolph-Macon College, Richard Bland College, Union Presbyterian Seminary, University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, and Virginia Union University.
