Purchase Request Forms

Purchase Request Process

Students can participate in the selection of materials for purchase by submitting a request at the Information Services Desk or emailing the Purchase Request Form to acquistions@vsu.edu.

1. Check the Library Catalog:

Before filling out the form, check the library catalog to confirm whether the item you need is available.

2. Complete the Purchase Request Form:

Fill out all required fields on the form. Be sure to include specific details such as:

Title of the item

Author

Publisher/Source

ISBN (if applicable)

Edition or year of publication

Reason for the request (why it's needed for your research or course)

3. Email the completed request to the library at acquisitions@vsu.edu.

4. Follow-Up:

After submission, follow up to ensure the request is processed and to track the status of approval and purchase.
