Virginia State University Libraries Spring 2021 Reopening Plan

This guide provides details on the University Libraries Spring 2021 Reopening Plan.

Course Reserves

In lieu of physical reserves, the VSU Libraries is providing a service to scan materials essential to Spring 2021 courses. Faculty and course instructors may place requests and will receive materials to host in their Blackboard courses. Library staff will determine what can be provided, either through existing or purchased electronic items, by scanning sections from available print materials where possible, or working with faculty and course instructors to find alternative Open Educational Resources (OER) online content.

All requests may be submitted throughout the semester with at least one week of lead time.

Course Reserve Form

Physical books on reserve can be scanned and uploaded to Blackboard. Faculty will need to submit their request via the Course Reserves form to jmlcirc@vsu.edu. Faculty are required to specify which section/chapter(s) of the text they would like to be made available electronically.

Please note, the library is unable to scan entire books due to copyright restrictions. Contact the Circulation Department at (804.524.5043) or jmlcirc@vsu.edu for assistance with reserves. Please use the form linked below.
