  • Galloway United Methodist Church: Galloway United Methodist Church (UMC) in Falls Church, Virginia, was founded in 1867 by George and Harriet Brice, buried in the historic graveyard on site.
  • First African Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA: First Baptist Church of Petersburg, Virginia, originally known as the First African Baptist Church, is the oldest continuously operating black church in the state and is the mother church of numerous Baptist congregations in Virginia.

  • First Baptist Church, Richmond, VAThe First Baptist Church, founded in 1780 by Joshua Morris, emerged after the Great Awakening religious revival movement (the 1730s-1770s) that spread across the South.
